Dear colleagues,
In choosing between SDLX and Workbench, which one would be easier and more convenient to use for languages with cyrillic character sets (e.g. Russian)? Also, which one of them do you think is safer for your PC? Thanks!
Vitaliy

... it broadens your mind. What regards the safety of your PC, it is the user, who's the biggest danger - my own experience.
Of course (sigh) if you hit a snag, a lot more people will be abole to help you out, if it id a TRADOS snag.

SDLX presents less tags
Dec 23, 2008
Sometimes you have no choice. Yesterday a 10000 words Word-doc could not be opened in TE and could only be analysed after conversion via Openoffice Writer to rtf. Workbench would crash every time. SDLX had no problem. Tageditor presents lots of tags that SDLX keeps from view, as in table columns. The SDLX interface is now worse than two years ago. Probably SDL is trying to push users towards Trados by letting SDLX deteriotate.
