Is that possible?

I guess that, if so, it must be done via converting the .pub into some other format (a compatible one), translating, cleaning and reversing the format change. The question is: How? which ones?.

What is for sure is that (at least according to the File formats reference guide) there is no direct way of so doing...

My solutions Jan 19, 2009

In my solutions, I use 2 methods:

1. Convert *.pub into *.doc or docx [aware of certain limitation] and translate with TagEditor. Then convert/paste back to *.pub.
2. Use clipboard editor CAT tools e.g. Trados T-Window for clipboard to translate directly into *.pub file.

How about converting each Publisher page to html and then using TagEditor?
