Unable to open PowerPoint file / Excel file from TAG editor!

I am having trouble opening a .ppt file or .xls file from TAG Editor. The only format that seems to work well is the .doc format. The error message that I get is:

"Failed to create file parser Trados.Powerpoint.fileparser"

I had someone convert the file to a .txt format and send it over to me, it worked ok. I translated some segments and tried to save the target file (.ppt format), and I got the following error:

Failed to create component Trados.Powerpoint.... See more

I must tell you that I have Windows Vista... could this be the reason?

This seems to happen with xls files as well.

Since you have Vista I assume you have Office 2007... Try saving the PPT-file in some older version, e.g. 2003 or 2000... It should work.

...but if it doesn't work, you might want to try downloading the latest filter patches from talisma.sdl.com.

I have Office 2003, I specifically changed the Office versios due to several incompatibilities...

So I am left with Stanislav suggestion now, I'll try downloading the patch....
