Overhauling a Team TM after change in segmentation rules

Hello,

We have a large team Trados TM that needs to be adjusted due to changes in segmentation rules.

A significant portion involves spliting segments that were once merged. Once the segments are split correctly, there will also be multiple duplicates to be removed.

Any suggestions on best way to handle this type of editing?

I didn't receive any responses to above, but imagine someone has encountered a large clean-up in past. Any suggestions are welcome! (Right now, I'm actually having to go through ultraedit to separate the segments, but this doesn't help with the dups, and takes forever!)
