Hi everyone, I use SDl trados 2007 with Word 2007. The trados comes up as add-in in the word 2007 file. My problem is when I translate a file with footnote, the footnote comes up in a separate window, (when I highlight any footnote reference number) in this separate window, usually there is a green line of the original and the yellow line for translation, but no addin button at the bar! So I can't find any button to do set/close etc or other button to use trados. Consequently I can't close either an open translation. What should I do?

And is the SDL Trados 2009 more compatible with word 2007?
thanks every one!

lenah

Hi Lenah,
to confirm the footnote segment, press CTRL+ALT+N (on a laptop) or ALT+Plus (on a desktop). This will close the footnote and open the next segment in the document body.
SDL Studio 2009 does not use Word as an editing environment: it has an editor of its own (SDLX style).
