I am new to Trados, and due to some software compatibility problems, only the translator workbench works.
I wonder, when an agency wants me to translate a text using trados, what should they provide me with?
I think just the text and the .tmw file containing the translation memory that I have to upload in the translator workbench.
Is this enough to start to work?

Basically, yes Jul 5, 2009

That should be enough, but just to be more precise: Trados TMs consist of five files, not just the TMW.
Some clients may also provide you with a termbase that you need to load into MultiTerm and then connect to Workbench for active terminology recognition.
