Hi All;
My client gave Excel file to proofread it and highlight the wrong text in red and the new changes in green. My question is how can I do that in TagEditor?

Thanks in advance.

did you get the ttx files Aug 18, 2009

You can't highlight changes in TE in red, only in the Excel file. So you need both the Excel file and TTX file + TM. Make sure your customer supplies both. If they haven't provided a 2-column Excel file, make sure you receive the source doc in Excel and the translated file in TTX. Then select File > Save target file in TE. This will result in the target text in Excel format. If necessary copy this into a column next to the source text, so you have a source>target Excel table.

Then, review in Tag Editor, make the change in TE to update the TM and manually enter every change into the Excel file highlighting it in red as per customer requirement. Ideally, you'd copy the target column so the resulting XLS has 3 columns: source, target with changes highlighted in red, corrected target with changes highlighted in green. Or start from the Excel file entering the corrections there and then correcting the source in TE. Whatever you do, since the customer has asked you do highlight any changes in the Excel file, you've basically got to apply the changes twice.

Hope this helps.
