I'm having a problem converting .xls to Multiterm 2009. The first step which is converting the .xls to .xdt using Muliterm convert goes well. However when I open Multiterm and click on 'create termbase' and then 'load an existing termbase definition file'and choose the .xdt file I converted, I get this message 'can not create termbase' and Multiterm freezes!

Save your file in the xlsx format and then back as xls Aug 25, 2009

The xlxs format is always a Unicode format

Hi Nagwan,
let me get back to your original question. The XTD file you create is not the one with the termbase. It is only an export format from Excel that yet has to be imported into MultiTerm.
To do so, first create a blank termbase in MultiTerm and import the XTD file there.
I hope this helps.
