Dear colleagues!

I am completely new when using Tageditor and I am completely in the middle of nowhere at the moment. Actually it all went fine, until I have made one spelling mistake and then another vocabulary mistake and I realized I just couldn't delete and then edit the translated text. Is there any solution for this since I have been reading this tutorials and I have thought it is better to ask someone before I make any other mistakes? I hope there is a command in Tageditor so I can save my text or i should just start all over again?

Thank you for your cooperation.

Maja

You can edit any translated segments by opening them again one by one, or can edit the whole text, if in Tageditor you choose Tools > Options > Protection, and there uncheck Protect document box.

Any protection checked? Aug 22, 2009

Hello Maja,

hmm, you mean after having re-opened a segment you can't edit it? Normally, you can't edit the segment when the option protect translation text is checked in the options, but AFAIK only if the segment is closed (not sure though, as I have never protected translated text)

A command for saving? The file I presume (as translated segments are saved as translation units in the TM) Of course, there is an option, actually two: if you use CTRL+S you can save the bilingual file (as a *.ttx) or you can save the file as target (i.e. the translation only file is created) from the dropdown menu File (BTW, in that dropdown menu there is also the option save as bilingual file)

Yes, I have resolved the issue thanks to you. My document was protected and it was fine when I unchecked the box under Protect Document.

Thank you so much.
