Hello.
I am having problems while working with .doc files in SDL Trados Studio 2009. Sometimes when I try to delete a group of words within a segment, I get an error (insertion error) and the program crashes. Can anyone suggest a solution for this?
Thanks

Check Windows components updates... Aug 24, 2009

Hi

All those crashes without any apparent reason depend enormoulsly on the Windows components installed, like the latest DotNet Framework version/service pack, memory sharing in the system etc., well beyond our normal reach. Check if if your system is up to date with the latest Windows components, all of them, not just the mandatory security patches.

SDL is in the final stages of releasing a Service Pack for Studio, addressing many, many situations, including cases related to 64-bit systems.

In the meantime, if the problems are still there and all the crashes have been "non-destructive" (nothing corrupted or any file/memory damaged), I would restart Studio and keep on working.

That's what I do, since I know the solution is most probably on the way very soon.

Best rgds

Edric
