The error message is "Could not contact activation server (Error Code 50018)". That's all. No alternative telephone number, e-mail address or anything like that (of course?).

So here I am: paid for an upgrade of an already expensive program. Activation only possible via Internet, but the server is down. There is not one functioning way of contacting SDL.

Now what to do? Anyone have an idea?

Activation succesful Sep 7, 2009

This morning I tried again and it worked.

The difference may have been that I switched off my antivirus software (AVIRA) this time. Or the British activation server was not on, since it was Sunday night in Britain when I tried it first.

SDL Support has not responded, which is probably best.
