Dear colleagues
Could you tell me what I must do while translating a big project to end a session and be sure to start again at the same point tomorrow. Just click on the Save button or any special function.
Thanks

Just type for example XXXXX or something like that at the end of the last sentence and use the command "Find" on the next day.

That's all.

Regards

A.

Trados or Word ? Sep 26, 2009

Are you using Trados and Microsoft Word? If so, you can jump to where the cursor was at the end of the previous session by Shift+F5 once the file has been loaded. This is a feature in Word, not Trados.

setting your TM Oct 7, 2009

Hi,

I am trying to understand how to use trados and I am not sure whether you create many TM's or just one. Also should I allow multiple translations for the same segment in a TM?

It's a political question.
IMHO start with multiple TMs, at least for your major customers (it's easier to manage), then start to use attributes and consolidate your TMs (at least some of them).
The big mom approach is the most efficient but first, you must know how to make difference between the mess you may receive and trustworthy translations.

If you translate into/from Polish, yes.
The Trados default makes no sense in most cases.

Cheers
GG
