Hello everybody,

I have downloaded the new SP1 Beta version for my new translation project in FrameMaker MIF format. I have translated about 3 chapters (out of 8) and now would like to change location, working on my notebook in the clients office tomorrow.

Normally I was able to create a project package. Now this option is disabled in Studio.

Do I have to change something with my licence?

I have a licence of SDL Trados Studio Freelance Plus (and have created a project package before!)

Thanks for your help

Leena

Hi Leena,

The reason for this is because you have a Freelance License. There is a 30-day grace period when your Freelance License gives you all the same features as Professional and then it reverts to Freelance. Freelance Plus allows you to activate on more than one PC, but it doesn’t allow you to have all the features of the Professional Version.

The easiest solution in this case is to copy all the files in the Project Folder to the C:\Users\\Documents\SDL Trados Studio\Projects\ folder on your notebook.

Kind regards

Paul

Oh sorry Sep 29, 2009

Hi Paul

I didn't know this.

I thought it was all in the "Plus"-Version.

Thanks for your answer.

Kind regards
Leena

soon to be released Oct 9, 2009

It hasn't been released yet, but I have been told it will be very soon.

If you want to test the Beta, contact SDL. However, it hardly seems worth it now as I'm sure the final SP1 will be released very soon.
