Hi

Is it possible to use a secondary TM while translating using your main TM ?

If yes, how does it work - i.e. when does it search in the secondary TM ?

thanks

Yes - Studio allows you to use as many TMs at a time as you wish Nov 10, 2009

You did not specify your version, although this is clearly required in this forum.
So this answer is for SDL Trados 2009 Studio.
With Trados 2007 and earlier you can just use one TM and specify another one for concordance searches only. You can then use a semi-double-TM-scenario, if you set the concordance to perform "Search concordance if no match is found".

The option is called Reference (read-only) TM in trados 2007 Nov 10, 2009

exactly, you can do that form workbench > Concordance Options > Concordance: Reference (read-only) TM, you can also decide which memory you want to be searched first.

Not sure about trados 2009, I bought it but I haven't bothered to try it yeticon_smile.gif
