Can a termbase be set to open (be the default) when Studio is started?

I'm still learning my way around Studio and usually have no need to create elaborate Projects, but I would like to be able to open Studio and see my default termbase open/active without having to go open it every time.

Is there any way of doing this?

When you set up termbases there, you can chose one standard termbase.
This will be your standard termbase for any new opened file or project from that very moment. All already existing projects will however NOT be uptaded to this.
