How to avoid preview generation when splitting a document?

Dear all,

I didn't get any answer to my questions yesterday. I must assume that what I asked for is not possible

Anyway, I hope I'll be luckier with this one.

Each time I split a segment in Studio 2009, it takes several seconds because it also generates a preview in Word, which I don't need at this point.
Although I'm pretty sure it was not doing this before, I searched in the options but can't find how to deactivate this

Well, this morning the merge and split commands work fine. No more preview generation.
Although I didn't do anything (I mean on purpose) to solve the problem.
Very strange...
