Hi everyone. I am new and I have my first big problem: I have reoccurring problems running Trados Suite 2009 on my mac.
I use Parallels Desktop and Windows Vista (yes, I know, this might be the point).
There is no error number. It just tells me that the thing cannot be run.

Does anyone have an idea what to do about it?

There is a thread below on this topic. It contains the following instruction for running TRADOS under Parallels:

disable shared folders 16 Jun

Hi Kim, I had the same problem and solved it by deactivating the shared folders, shared profile, shared applications. To do so, go to "Virtual Machine>Configure" and untick the respective boxes.

This has to do with the SDL Trados installer inability (restriction) of installing in a drive other C:

I have been running Vista on a MacBook under Parallels and it runs fine.

I had read it - but probably misunderstood Dec 14, 2009

Thanks for your hint.
I had read these posts before I posted my own. However, I had not quite understood them. Your comment made me reconsider the other threads and now I did what they recommended. I am not 100% sure, it really works, though. I'll keep you informed.

Yep, now it is working just fine!

Thanks again - you can perhaps move this to the end of the respective thread?
