Since I installed Window 7 with Trados 2007, I cannot see the 2 versions and the segments on the word file, I just see the target version directly... Could you help me fix this problem ?
Thank you, Marthe

show hidden text Jan 9, 2010

Hi Marthe,
If you are working directly in Word, then you need to have hidden text visible in order to see the source text and segments.
The short cut to do this is ctrl+shift+8.
Hope this helps.

Please, try changing your MS Word options Jan 9, 2010

Why not try opening MS Word Options->Display and under Always show these formatting marks on the screen check the Hidden text box?

Please, report back whether it works or noticon_smile.gif

Changing MS Word options Jan 9, 2010

First, open MS Word, push the Office Button in the top left-hand corner and you will see Word Options button underneath.

Anyway, thank you Emma for the shortcut!

macro Jan 9, 2010

The methods described in this topic make Office show all hidden things etc. (incl. paragraph symbols, spaces and so on), not only the hidden/source text.

You may wish to try and use a macro by Esteban in this thread (date 8 Oct 2009):
http://www.proz.com/forum/office_applications/147440-word_2007_hidden_text_on_off_shortcut_macro.html

With that, you can easily switch on/off the hidden text (and only that, no other "garbage"icon_smile.gif ).
