Dear all,

I have Trados Freelance 7.0.0.615 and MS Word 2003 running on XP.

I seem to have deleted a Trados macro called "tw4winSetCloseOpenGet.Main" - the one that opens up the next segment regardless of whether it is a 100% match or not - and need to get it back.

Does anyone have any idea how to do this without reinstalling Trados?

Thanks!

Tansy

Trados8.dot Jan 21, 2010

Overwrite Trados8.dot in your Word startup folder with c:\Program Files\SDL International\T2007_FL\TT\Templates\TRADOS8.dot. (or similar) You can search for Trados8.dot on the C:\ drive to find the old file that loads with Word.

Thanks - but no success Jan 21, 2010

Thanks for your help, Adam. I tried that but that wasn't the problem, as the
file I overwrote was last updated just a couple of months ago and I've had
the problem for much longer than that. The macro in question is no longer in
the list of TW4win macros in Word. Do you - or anyone else - know where I
can find this and how I can restore it to this list.

Thanks

Tansy

Still... Jan 21, 2010

When I open Tools > Macro > Macros, and choose Trados8.dot from the Macros in dropdown, tw4winSetCloseOpenGet.Main is listed there, which means - quite as I would expect it - that the macro belongs to the Trados8.dot template. Moreover, the Delete button is disabled as the macros are protected, so I don't think you deleted the macro accidentally.

Whatever actually happened, I think the easiest solution would be to reinstall Trados, or rather, use the Repair option in the installer first, and then reinstall if that doesn't help.
