Hello,

I tried to find user reviews about SDL Trados Studio 2009 SP1 Professional/freelance based on which I can decide if it deserves to upgrade my current version (SDL Trados 2007 Professional) or not.

I have already read developer's documentation and what is new about the new version but I seek user reviews.

I appreciate your advise of the pros & cons of this version.

Thank you

Professional vs Freelance Feb 8, 2010

Hi Ahmad,

As you didn't get a response to this question I thought I would add something. If you need the following for your daily work;

  • More than 5 languages
  • The ability to work on a domain based network
  • The ability to create Translation Packages
  • The ability to customise batch tasks

Then you would benefit from the Professional version. If not, then the Freelance (including AutoSuggest creation) version will probably be enough.

Regards

Paul
