Has anyone found a hotkey for entering AutoText, kind of like the old Alt-F3?
And yes, I know about the right-click to enter Multiterm entries. But I don’t use Multiterm, I use Xbench instead; I think it is more versatile and there is one less reason for Trados to crash.

I use AutText a lot, and going via the menus is unnecessary tedious.

You do not need a shortcut for that Feb 13, 2010

AutoText is part of the AutoSuggest concept, so it will be simply shown, when you start typing the word you need. AFAIR AutoText appears after three or four characters.

I mean a shortcut to put the words into the AutoSuggest concept. Now I have to type Alt-t, o, then choose AutoText, then paste in the word and press Add. In Trados 7 (as well as in Word) I only have to press Alt-F3 to put a new word into the AutoSuggest database.

I'm afraid I don't know this Feb 13, 2010

Being through the list of possible shortcuts I did not find any suitable.
If you don't find such, go to ideas.sdltrados.com and suggest this there.

Thank you, Jerzy. Feb 14, 2010

Thanks for the effort. I’ll just hope they put it in a later upgrade of Trados.
