Hi everybody,

I'm trying to switch to Studio 2009, but I absolutely need to have Trados 2007 Suite installed as well, as several customers demand that, but there's a problem...

As soon as I install Trados 2009 Studio, my TagEditor won't even start! It crashes even before the window opens.

Here's what I've done so far:
- Uninstalled all previous Trados versions (and deleted folders and files manually afterwards)
- Installed SDL Trados 2007 Suite (latest build)
- Installed SDL Trados 2009 Studio SP1 (latest build)
- Installed SDL MultiTerm 2009 SP1 (latest build)

No errors during installation, and Workbench (2007) and MultiTerm 2009 are working OK. I even got the Trados8.dotm to Work in Word 2007 nicely - but TagEditor just refuses to work. As soon as I launch it - it crashes.

I've also tried to
- run as administrator (I've disabled UAC a long time ago)
- run virtualized / in sandbox (Avast)
...but makes no difference - the freaking TE won't start at all.

I'm using Windows Vista 32-bit (Finnish), Office 2007 and Trados 2007 and 2009.

Wohoo! - This did the trick!

Recently I've had a similar problem, which I have solved by renaming corresponding registry enrties and a repair installation of Trados 2007.
I work with Vista Home Premium 64, so it should also work for you.
Your problem is a very rare one - AFAIK there are no other people with such problems or at least I did not hear any reports on that.
So let's hope SDL will answer here, as this forum is strictly monitored.
