Hello,

I am using Trados suite 2009. I have a document with a lot of nice repetitions. The formating and case is also the same. However, when I have a word or sentence that is exactly the same in the memory and/or the same document, before I enter the segment, it shows as a 100% match but when I confirm and move into this segment, it changes to 99%.

Is there any way a 100% can stay as 100% and be atomatically confirmed and move on to the next unconfirmed segment?

Many thanks,
kathleen.

What do you see in the Translation results window? Feb 23, 2010

Do you see any plus signs there? What happens, if you point with the mouse to the match value shown in translation results window?
I suppose, you simply use more than one TM and have checked "update" for both.

thank you for your help! Feb 23, 2010

Before entering the segment I see:

Translation details:
Status: Draft
Origin: Auto-propogated
System: Propogated from segment 176
Score: 100%

On entering the segment I see:

Translation details:
Status: Draft
Origin: Translation memory
Score: 99%

Before interactive editing:
Origin: Auto-propogated
System: Propogated from segment 176
Score: 100%

Yes, I use more than one TM and select update for both. Does this mean that if I only select to update one TM I would not have this problem?

Many thanks.

So you've found your answer already Feb 23, 2010

Using multiple TMs is fine, however updating them ALL at the time is not a good idea.
Just update the main TM and work through the document. After you've done use the batch tas "Update main translation memories" to update any TMs you wish.
