Hello,
I'm using Trados 8 and PowerPoint 2003 on Vista.
When translating a Powerpoint file in TagEditor, some segments are shown with different fonts and colours, even when they are 100% matches. This means that i have to translate them again to get the right format. Even when I copy and paste from the memory the original formatting is still lost.
Any help?
Thanks in advance
Martha

But you don't have to redo your work. All the formatting is preserved. Once you save the target as a ppt all the formatting should be displayed as expected.

but a so called "feature".
In order to make our work easier (?) the programmers decided to keep the formatting shown on your screen while working with Tageditor.
Butyou can easily switch this nonsense (IMHO) off: go to FilterSettings and switch "Show display formatting" off for PPT and other formats. You'll find the FilterSettings in Trados porgram group under Filters.

The corresponding setting is shown below (as example for Word - for other formats it is simular):

Please note, that you have to recreate the TTX file in order to get this setting working.
