Hi all,

I have a huge 25,000 word TagEditor ttx xml file to proofread. The file is an update manual from a previous version, so from the 25,000 words only 5,000 were new words that actually need to be proofread. It's quite annoying to skip through each of the segments manually if only a fifth of them actually need to be edited.

I was wondering if there is any option in Trados 2007 to set a filter so that when clicking the "save go to next segment" button, Trados will automatically skip to the segment that really needs editing (ie. to set a filter for a specific user and/or date).

Thanks a lot for any hint or suggestion!

Different criteria and different solutions Apr 9, 2010

You mention such criteria as matches, dates and users. TTX files only store match information, and you could use that with TE's TradosTag Viewer Plug-in, which shows different match colours.

If you also received the TM from the translator, you could also export segments based on the user name and/or dates (setting the Created OR Modified criteria), and just review the export file - you would then make your corrections in the TTX file.

Thanks Apr 9, 2010

for your help so far.
If anyone knows a trick how to hide all 100% matches within the TagEditor file, please do let me know.
