Hello everyone,

one of my clients recently sent me a tag file which was to be translated into Polish. We did the translation in tag editor as usual and there where no problems at all but after the client had received the Polish translation back in tag format he complained that the special Polish characters did not display correctly in CopyFlow Gold. It turned out that the ASCII code, which the client's software works with, does not support Polish and some other languages.
I have tried to convert the tag file into ttx using UTF 8-code but Trados refused to open this file.

As I am expecting more projects from this client into various languages which are not supported by ASCII I really have to find a solution. Does anyone know how to solve this?

Any help is appreciated!

Hi,
you need to select UTF-16 as export format in CopyFlow Gold (before export from Quark). More information here - http://www.napsys.com/cfg8info.html

Great, that sounds very promising. I'll ask the client to do that.

Thanks a lot!icon_smile.gif
