Hello everyone!
I have a good number of powerpoint files and I wanted to use Trados for the translation. Most of them are ok but for some:
-when I try to analyse the file, workbench crashes
-when I try to open the file with tageditor, the same happens.
But I can open the file, and modify it, from powerpoint with no problems.
I thought it might be because of their size and the number of images, so I've made shorter, and lighter, files, but the same happens.... See more

If it were a privacy problem, then I shouldn't be allowed to modify the document from powerpoint neither, but it does let me.

cut and paste May 25, 2010

Hi Paula,

I had the same problem with certain ppt files (APPCRASH in TagEditor 2007). I did a "cut and paste" of the entire presentation into a new ppt file. It did open Ok in TagEditor, but I had lost the fancy background. I did not try to paste the translation back into the original background because the client did not require it, so I don't know if it can be done afterwards.

Hi Julie,
Thanks for your answer, but I'm afraid it doesn't work in this case. I've tried to make lighter files, doing copy-and-paste, but no success. Also tried doing "special paste", but nothing, it continues crashing again...
