Dear Friends,

Is it possible to proofread a file using Trados 2007, please? I have the TM in txt format, source and target files in Word.

BTW, How can I import a txt file to a new TM please?

Thanks so much.

regards,

Farzad

Try Import May 31, 2010

Importing it, that's how.

Open TWB and the TM.
Select File
Select Import,
Find the txt file
Click OK.

That's it.

When you say proof read May 31, 2010

Obviously you could just proof read the target document, so I imagine that what you want to do is also update the TM?

If you do not already have a bilingual file then you could generate one by translating the source document in Workbench using the TM. If you want to import the TM then just click file/import and follow the menu, selecting the txt file to import.

Then proofread the bilingual file making changes. Then clean up this file to create a new target file and update the TM at the same time.

Export in txt format Jun 1, 2010

With the TM open in Workbench, click on File/Export/OK and then in "Create export file" you can choose both the location for the export file and the file type (drop down menu).

I'm glad you accomplished your tasks. You would help yourself a lot if you read the manuals, more than once.
