Taking the opportunity of an interesting discount, I have upgraded from SDL Trados 2007 and purchased SDL Trados 2009 Freelance Edition yesterday. I have read, however, that I have to return my licence code for 2007. I have some customers who still require 2007 Version. How can I work with it if I return the licence key? Can I install SDL Trados 2009 on my PC an keep/work with my 2007 Version?
Many thanks for your help!
Cristina

separate licences Jun 1, 2010

2007 and studio 2009 come bundled together but they are 2 separate applications with 2 separate licences.
Go to "my account" on the SDL website to see the status of your licences. You will see the applications are listed separately.
Not only can you install them both on the same machine, you actually have to. This ensures that you can use legacy files (ttx) in Studio (which can't create them itself), and use other applications from 2007 such as Winalign that isn't in STudio either.
