Trados Studio 2009 failed to initialize

I just downloaded, installed and activated Trados Studio 2009.

Now it won't open. I get a "falha na inicialização" (Initialization Failure) error.

I'm running it on XP Service Pack 2 (running as a virtual machine on VMWare Fusion). Trados 2007 seems to be working ok.

Any hints on how to solve this?

Thanks in advance,
Ricardo

Trados installation Jun 19, 2010

Try to reinstall it. It happened to me too, I had to disable my antivirus protection system.

You are entitled to free support from SDL for licensing and installation problems.

Check out what Paul from SDL suggested in similar circumstances:

Thanks. Jun 19, 2010

Yesterday I decided to get a new computer to replace my old macbook.

I installed Trados on this new computer (Windows 7) and it seems to be working flawlessly.

Once again, thanksicon_smile.gif
