Hi all,

We have a Software Manuals that will be translated in to Arabic. Our problem is that we had to keep the English words which is a reference to the application in English while translating.

The words which is a reference to the application is Bold in the source file (xml file).

Is there a way to add the source file to tageditor or Studio, so that we can notice the words that had to be English in Arabic translation.

Regards,

Make the tags not translatable Jul 9, 2010

If the English strings are between tags that are only used for those strings, you can edit the ini/DTD file for Tag Editor so that the content of those tags is non translatable. In Trados Freelance Documentation, see SDL Trados 2007 File Format Guide, "Managing tag settings", especially page 2-12. However, if the tags are just generic bold tags that are also used for e.g. headings, I'm afraid you will have to just translate carefullyicon_smile.gif

Many thanks Jul 10, 2010

Dear Adam,

I have checked the documentation and I thank you for help. I just want to make sure if I make the bold strings non translatable, how it will be added to the target translation?

Regards,
