Hi All,

I just got SDL Trados 2009 and I'll be getting the training by the end of the month, however I need to use it now to get the exact wordcount for a powerpoint file, but when I open the file on Trados, the analysis page gives all the data either NA or 0. Can anyone give me any tips how to get it as I need to send a quotation to my client shortly.

Thanks

Did you perform any analyzis? Jul 11, 2010

Without performin an analyzis (batch tasks - analyze) there will be no results there.
Please also note, that if you are opening a single document via "Open document" function, you need to save it as bilingual file (CTRL+S) prior to performing ANY batch tasks on it.

Open the file in PowerPoint Jul 11, 2010

1. Save your file.
2. Start PowerPoint, Open, click on your saved file from PowerPoint.
3. File menu --> Properties --> Statistics.

The exact menu items depend on your version of Office.

HTH,
Sandra
