Hi all,

I have translated a HTML file in SDLX. The client wanted a TTX file, so I've exported it to TTX.

When the client exported the TTX file, instead of the original HTML, she got some SDLX-looking table, which is totally useless.

How can she export the original HTML file?

Thanks in advance

But it's logical.
She receives the target SDLX file she should export to HTML.

How can she export the original HTML file?

She can't do it in Trados (TagEditor), she must use SDLX to export the HTML.
You should have prepared the file in TagEditor, then imported and translated it to SDLX.

I.e. the correct workflow should have been HTML > TTX > ITD > TTX > HTML.

Cheers

In case you lose your translated ITD file Jul 22, 2010

Conversion (exporting) between ITD and TTX files is tricky. If you lose ITD file you translate, you can clean TTX file only to create a TM. Next, use auto-translation command of Trados TagEditor to get the target HTML file quickly (with minor format tag adjustment). By cleaning it, you get the target HTML file without relying on ITD file anymore.
