I have a word file, where only highlighted words/sentences are to be translated.

How to set op a filter, to make only the higlighted words/segments translatable?

I have searched in the help files & documentation, but cannot find the reference. I do belive, however that the facility exists:

Can anybody help me, please.

Thanks
Birthe

Mark the not higlighted parts of the document as hidden.

.. and how do I do that? Aug 1, 2010

This probably becomes a different question -

How do I do that? Is there a macro or do I have to create on?

Btw I want to translate the highlighted elements (so I suppose the instruction is to hide the non-highlighted elements).

Can you guide me further along. I seem to have huge gaps in the more intimate parts of Word.

Thanks.
Birthe

Just use the standard Search and Replace dialog box (Ctrl+H).
Click More.
For Find what, select the Format "Not highlighted" (click Highlight twice).
Fo Replace with, select Format, Font, hidden.

I seem to have huge gaps in the more intimate parts of Word.

Some knowledge about the Search and Replace window is a must...

Cheers

Thank you so much. Have done it. Never been that deep into the parts of words or never had the need to.

This will help me tremendously.
Have a nice Sunday!
