I hope someone can help me out here.
I have followed the guidelines as to saving the logo and adding the required code to my profile here at ProZ, and I get as far as getting a direct link to my certification page, but I would like the logo to show also.

What on earth am I doing wrong?

I enter the entire path to where the image is located on my PC, and nothing happens. I have tried to delete some of it, but to no avail.
Should I not be entering the complete path from 'C:' right down to the folder where the image is located?

Help!

Help!

I also met with this trouble because I open Proz with Google Chrome browser.

By switching to Internet Explorer 8, the problem was solved.
Best regards,

you have done it right Aug 6, 2010

Hi Pia,

as far as I know you can't show the logo in your profile. The way you have done it is right - it's the same in my profile.
I clicked at your link and can see the certification page with logo in a new window.

Claudia

Solved - NOT! Aug 6, 2010

I don't understand why, but when I moved the logo to my ftp site and entered this address in the code line, it suddenly worked.

I thought I could simply save it to my computer, but I guess this point was very fuzzy on SDL's website on this point.

Thanks for all suggestions.icon_eek.gif)

Apparently it is doomed to not work - it really annoys me. My other pictures in there seem to work???

Prompted for login details when visting your profile Aug 6, 2010

I just tried to click on the link to your profile but was then prompted to provide the login details for your ftp when the page was loadedicon_wink.gif

I haven't looked into how to show images on the profile page but it seems it is not quite working as it should...

The picture is also not showing correctly - only the name of the image is there with the link to the certification page. At least that is how it appears in Firefox.

Good luck with it!

no picture in ie Aug 6, 2010

The image in the logo in your profile isn't visible in Internet Explorer either, FWIW.
But when I clicked on it I was sent to your SDL certification page (is that usual for a logo?) At least I didn't get asked for your ftp as Mette did!

I never managed to get the logo working on my profile either. I gave up on it in the end and just have the certification link through "software" that you have added too.

Congrats, anyway, I see you got your certification today!

Depends on the browser then, it seems Aug 6, 2010

At first it actually worked for me with IE, but I guess this was only briefly?
I had first tried using Firefox too.

This logo's code contains a hyperlink to the certification page, so this is as it should be for this logo.

When I open my profile as a visitor using Safari, the logo shows only as a box with a question mark in it, but clicking it directs me to the certification page.

Really weird and really annoying!

Gotcha - me thinks Aug 6, 2010

Ignoring the instructions completely is sometimes the only way to make things work - and so in this case.

In stead of downloading the logo to my computer, I inserted the code as per instruction into my profile, clicked on the logo on the website, copied the picture address and inserted this address into the code instead of a path on my computer.
This finally seemed to work!

It even seems to work both on Firefox AND IE. Incredible!

If anyone sees a problem, please let me know.
