Hello everyone, one of the "evegreens" here - is there any "crash course" on Trados for beginners?

Tutorials? Help file? Aug 20, 2010

Did you get any of these with the software? They may be in a separate folder.

TM´s Aug 20, 2010

Hi Katalin,
I received some sample databases basically used in these tutorials here. What I need to do is create new TM´s myself as I am specialised in military materiel and its accessories and such TM´s would probably not be pasted anywhere on the web.
The thing I am battling with at the moment is that I have aligned some .doc files using the Winalign tool, created a new database in Translators Workbench and failed to import the aligned .txt file into the Workbench interface, as it keep reporting "file *** has no header". What I need is a simple procedure, the software came with some 300 pages of manuals...

Useful it is, indeed. However, it deals with versions 5, 5.5 and 6.5. Is there a newer version?

First - Pls let me see the content of the txt file by cutting and paste in here - you may use word to open - two pages will do

This is one of the way I diagnose error when using winalign - that is texts created by winalign cannot be imported into Trados

Second pls advise on the language selected - is it the same (Trados) and winalign
