Hello,

I am struggling with Trados 6.5 at the moment. I am working on my translation and all of the sudden every segment has a protected tag! This means I can't delete or change anything in the segment (the target segment). This is very annoying and I don't know why or how this happen, or more importantly, how to undo this.

Can someone please help me?

Running Trados 6.5, Microsoft 2003 on XP.

Thanks!

Provide more details please! Aug 27, 2010

You did not tell us whether you are working in Word or with Tag Editor?

If TE, what is the format of your source file?

Where does this tag appear? What kind of tag is it? Can't you edit the text around the tags? What prevents you from typing into the target segment?

Please understand that we need more information if you want us to help you.

Walter

Hi Walter,

The problem is solved! I looked in the Trados menu and clicked on "Toggle tag protection" and everything is back to normal.

Regards,
Ainhoa
