Dear all,

After I have exported my translation memory to tmx in SDL Studio 2009 SP 1 I can't import it to my Trados 2007 TM. It looks like the import is going on but in the end it shows that TM has not been updated at all. What do I do wrong?

Regards,
Andrey

Lanuage pairs correct? Sep 3, 2010

Otherwise I wouldn't know about any further problems.

No match from TM that contain relevant translation units Sep 4, 2010

I looked into problem more closely and that's what I noticed. The language pair is correct and matching in both TMs. The Import process to 2007 TM goes without any error messages and says that TM has actually been updated with so many units added. I can find my translation in txt file when I export it to txt file. However when I open the original file for translation in Trados 2007 TagEditor, which I have already translated in Studio 2009 previously and I do know that my translation is in the TM. The workbench won't come up with any translation and says "No match!". I'm actually at a loss.

How is this in your Workbench?

Well, it's actually 70%. I didn't change it when creating a TM.

Please lower that to 50% Sep 4, 2010

and try again.
Please also make sure, you are in the right language pair - both TM and file.
I know this sounds dumb, but it is still possible, that you have language mismatch between file and TM. For example you have a RU-EN TM, but are trying to translate EN-RU. This happened several times to me in Workbench.

I did that, lowered to 50%. No result. The language pair is correct. Usually it gives a warning message if the language pair is different, isnt't it? Interesting thing is that I can find required translation unit through Concordance search with 70% setting.

This is more than strange Sep 4, 2010

Sorry, I seem to be out of ideas.
What is still left: reorganise the TM, try again.
Restart the whole system, try again.
Create a new TM, import, reorganise, try again.
Export from WB to txt, recreate and try again.

Sorry, but no more ideas then.
