Hi all

Can anyone shed any light on this one please?

I'm trying to open an Excel file in TagEditor and I get the following error message:

80005 Start index cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: StartIndex

I would really appreciate any tips anyone out there may have.

Thanks!
Simon Critchley

Does the untouched or partially translated file save as target? Sep 4, 2010

Please check, whether you can open the source Excel and save it as target immediately after translating the first two or three segments. Do not translate worksheet names.

Error 80005 Sep 4, 2010

Hi Jerzy

Thanks for your comments. No, it doesn't because it won't open in TE at all; the error message appears immediately and stops the loading process.

Cheers

Please try to save Excel as XLSX Sep 4, 2010

and try again.
The error is in the Excel file and I am not a specialist for Excel files.
So my only solution would be saving as Excel 2007, then testing maybe via OpenOffice or copying the Excel content to another clean Excel file and splitting the sheets to individual files.
