Multiterm 2009 yields no matches

Dear all,

I'm trying to complete my first translation (pretranslated TTX from a DOC file) in Studio (SP2 on an XP system). I've upgraded the relevant TM, and it works fine. I've also upgraded and opened three relevant MultiTerm termbases. However, MultiTerm doesn't yield any results the source segment obviously contains. When I enter those terms in the "term search" field, the results I'm looking for do appear. In the TM matches, no terms that the termbases contain are underlined in red (as I'm used to from Trados 2007).

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm just beginning to work with Studio (training course is scheduled, but I'm trying to get some hands-on experience in the meantime).

PS.: I'm using SDL Trados Studio SP2 . 9.1.1264.0 and SDL MultiTerm - 8.1.1264.0

The MultiTerm Desktop application is not running.

Check this thread and also make sure the index is set for the termbase.

I had the same problem. Termbase was correctly set, I could see and search the terms in my search window but terminology recognition didn't work. I solved the problem with the solution described here http://talisma.sdl.com/display/2n/articleDirect/index.aspx?aid=3093&r=0.530074

As described there "Translator's Workbench from SDL Trados 2007 changes registry settings that can stop terminology recognition working in SDL Trados Studio 2009 SP2"

A general note for all users of this forum: when you want to include a link to the KB of SDL, you cannot simply copy-paste the link displayed in the address field. This link will stop working after a few minutes because it is a dynamic link generated by the CMS system.

What you need to do is: click on the function 'Email' or 'Bookmark' in the pane on the right of the article and copy the link that is displayed there and which looks like this:

http://kb.sdl.com/article.aspx?article=3353&p=1

You can then include this link in a post and whoever clicks on it will get to the article.
