I am not able to detect segments which are highlighted in the source file (.doc) and do not have to be translated with Studio 2009. I tried to look out for them in the target/source preview too. Is there a way by which I may be able to do that? Please help.

If it is a doc... Sep 30, 2010

you could hide the text which is highlighted (= not to be translated), then it would not appear in Studio.
However, you can also show tags and look for those with "highlight" as tag text. These format the text to be highlighted.
You can also keep a copy of the document open while you translate.
However I would really use the first option.

My simple way Oct 1, 2010

I add a special mark (e.g. '++++' '-----') to the head and the end segments of the highlighted paragraph (or sentence) to view it easily. I skip translation of these segments. I delete special marks in the target file without bothering special tags.
