Even though I installed SP 3, I still have the following error message when I try to use the real preview feature:
The Word document cannot be previewed, please see the error details for more information.
Please note you will need Word 2003 or 2007 installed to preview .doc files and Word 2007 installed to preview .docx files.
I would appreciate if anyone could tell me what I am doing wrong here,
Many thanks

Most probably you need some additional MS software
I do use the Click-to-Run version of Office 2010: could this be the reason why I can't use real-time preview in Trados?
I had huge troubles with my Office yesterday and today, everything seems to be (kind of) ok now after 3 rounds of "repairs", then I would really like to avoid uninstalling and reinstalling Office again if there is absolutely not link between Click to Run and Trados' real preview feature...
Thank you

TOPIC STARTER
change from click-to-run to Office 2010's "full edition" (MSI-based)
Oct 8, 2010
A few lines for colleagues who will read this thread in the future: as explained in another thread I finally managed to have Studio's real preview function work, by installing the "full version" of Office 2010, in 32 bits (64 bits would not allow WFC and Trados 2007 macros work in Word).
I also installed the additional software Jerzy mentioned though, so a combination of both said software and Office 2010's full edition might be needed.
