Grazie

Thanks for the advice:) Stanislav,

In English:

I did my first work with trados 2009 (SP3).

I didn't found any kind of problems with the translation.
But when I try to "Save target as ..." (MS Word document 2007) appears the following error:
"The length can not be less than zero" - Parameter name: length.

I did the Verify. I have corrected the errors (spaces between the Tags) ...
I did the Verify again and there were no more errors. But when I try to save it again the same error appears again.
Cliking on the error it leads me to the corresponding segment ... But I didn't understand where the error can be... and that segment has not even Tags ...

What should I do?

Thanks

English, please Oct 18, 2010

Hi Omar,
I'm afraid the language of this Forum is English. Could you please translate your post? Also, if you use English here, you are more likely to get a competent answer to your question.

Make a copy of the original file Oct 18, 2010

Open that copy in Studio. Translate one or two sentences, then try to save target.
Does this work?

The same:( Oct 19, 2010

Always the same.

One thing (i think that this don't make anyproblem)... As Trados 2009 saves the source target in one folder created by it, i had delete the original files.
Maybe this??????

Deleting original files shouldn't be a problem Oct 19, 2010

However I really doubt it is a good idea to delete any files.
Nevertheless, if your nearly untouched source does not save as target, then you know where the problem is.
Please open and repair the file in Word.
Start Word. Press CTRL+O, navigate to the folder where the file is, select it and instead of pressing the button "Open" press the arrow pointing down beside the word "Open" and chose "Open and repair" from the dialog there.
Save the file - maybe under a different name. Save also a copy of the file in a different format.
Test those files now.

On a side note: it is always a good option to have your files organized.
An example of an advisable file structure could be:
documents\customer name\project number\source
documents\customer name\project number\work
documents\customer name\project number\delivery
That way you could keep the original source files in one folder, work on copies of those in work folder and produce target translations in delivery folder.
