When doing translation in TagEditor (.ttx) file (after converting an Excel file to .ttx file format), using Workbench, I am getting the following error.
"(80001):Translator's Workbench Error: The server threw an exception".
This is not appearing for all the sentences, but for some of the sentances.
Can any one help me resolve this issue?
I am using SDL Trados 2007 and my language pair is Japanese to English.

Any help will be appreciated.

Reorganize your TM Oct 21, 2010

This error has been discussed here quite a few times in the past. If you do a search on 80001, you will find quite a number of posts on this.

AFAIR, the cure that works in most cases is to reorganize your TM and start again.

If that does not help, you'll have to dig in further to these posts.

Dear Anu and Walter

If the reorganisation doesn´t help you can follow the steps below that should always help here:

1. Export TM to the TXT file format.
2. Open TXT file in Notepad (or another TextEditor) and delete entire "RTF Preamble" section leaving only opening tag and closing tag in place.
3. Save TXT file.
4. Create new TM for the same language pair.
5. Import modified TXT file to new TM.
6. Use new TM in interactive translation.

Kind regards
