Why can't I open any TU in TagEditor and TW:s commands are grey shaded?

I can only open a TU with Alt+Home and only close with Restore source.

I have a ...xml.ttx file already open in TagEditor, both TW and TE are open.
But in the Workbench drop-down menu, only the first three options are selectable, all
the others are grey-shaded.

I've already opened the .ini file also.

Did you open the correct TM? Oct 24, 2010

Check that the TM you opened in Workbench has the same language pair as your document? If it does not, you can see the document content in TE but you cannot work on it.

Maybe they're PerfectMatch (XU) matches Oct 24, 2010

Select View > Tag Text > Partial or Complete from the TE menu. If you see an XU before the segments, they're PerfectMatch (XU) matches and are by default protected. To change this select Tools > Options > Security from the TE menu and uncheck the Protect PerfectMatch units (XUs) option.

Problem solved! Oct 24, 2010

It was a long sentence which was divided into several TU:s. So I just chose to accept close TU even though I was warned there is a tag missing. And it worked.
