Dear all

I am close to going nuts!
I posted here on Proz a cry for help since Tageditor keeps closing when translating an inx.file (on new pc with Windows 7 (32 bit) and Office 7).
Some help was offered, but no solutions were found (upgrading to Studio is no solution... because see below... it all works fine on my old pc and I thought that Trados 2007 should also work on a pc with Windows 7 and Office 7... or does this not apply for build 835 of Trados???)

I now tried that same file on my old pc with Windows XP and Office 2003 and no problems at all!
I deleted the installation of SDL Trados 2007 (on the new pc) and installed it again, I checked the settings with the same version of SDL Trados 2007... they are all the same.
However, when translating, the text in the inx. file seems somewhat garbled and Tageditor closes.
Any suggestions?

Hi Channa,

I have no experience of W7 with any versions of Trados 2007 prior to version 863. This latest build is supported so you may have to upgrade to Studio. As I mentioned earlier, you will get the latest version of Trados 2007 as well so you don't have to use Studio immediately if you don't want to.

I think at some point, if you keep upgrading your operating system and PC then you will have upgrade some of your applications too.

No such luck Oct 31, 2010

Dear Paul

I just bought Studio and (included) an update for Trados Freelance 7 (now build 863), installed the software without any problems, but.... Tageditor keeps crashing while translating to fuzzy.
I spent another 250 euro and still the problem is not solved... it drives me mad!
