Hello folks:

I have Trados 5 and Pagemaker 7 (Spanish). Where should I look for the plug-ins and where do I release them in order to have Trados in my PageMaker toolbar? What do I have to do, step by step? I am kind of slow trying to understand this stuff. In my PC, PageMaker 7.0 is installed in C/Program files by default. When looking at it, there's no folder named Plug-ins. What would the names be in Spanish?

No need to answer, i found it myself! Feb 18, 2004

Yes, I found it somewhere else:

1. Copy the files from C:\Program files\TRADOS\T5_FL\WS\Story
Collectors\PageMaker to C:\PM7\RSRC\ESPANOL\PLUGINS. This will install the
Story Collector plugin.

To work with:

2. Open PageMaker
3. Open the PageMaker file you wish to export
4. From the Utilities/Plugins menu in PageMaker, select Trados Story
Collector
5. In the Dialog box that appears in your screen, set the story order of the
text you will be exporting (you can find info on this in Help Story
Collector for PageMaker "Selecting the Story Order"
6. Now Click on the "Export" button
7. In the "Select Export File" box, type in the name of the file you want
the text saved to.
8. Story Collector will process the text and show you the results in the
"results" window. You can save this log for future reference.
9. Click on the Exit button in Story Collector.
10. Save the PageMaker file (IMPORTANT)
11. Now it would be advisable to reimport the exported file back to make
sure everything exported OK.
12. Open the exported file with Tag Editor. Make sure you select "PageMaker
tagged (.txt) in the "File Type" box.
13. Translate the document
14. After translation, save the target file.
15. From PageMaker, open Story collector and reimport the file.
