Hello,

One of our members of staff is having a problem with a .ttx file.

We are using Trados 2007 with TagEditor 8.3.0.863 - (build 863) on windows XP SP3.

the problem came from a translator not using the intended file and instead creating their own .ttx file, and setting it up as Source>Target JP>EN-US when it needs to be EN-GB>JP

I have gone into the .ttx with notepad and changed the source and target (all locally not touching the originals) and it then come's up with the TagEditor (40005): Unknown Exception.

I have had a look around and all i can find is articles relating to Trados 2006 and the Arial font type not being present. I attempted this fix to see if it was relevant for 2007, but this made no difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this has me flummoxed!

Anymore information needed and i will gladly tell.

Regards,
Iain
