Dear Colleagues,

for days now, I am trying to get Multiterm 2009 working with Trados 2007 (SDLTrados2007Suite_FL_863). Every time I open Multiterm 2009 to create a new termbase, it issues the error message 'External component has thrown an exception'. After cleaning the registry, I reinstalled Trados 2007 and Multiterm 2009 several times, without any success. for days now, I am trying to get Multiterm 2009 working with Trados 2007 (SDLTrados2007Suite_FL_863). Every time I open Multiterm 2009 to create a new termbase, it issues the error message 'External component has thrown an exception'. After cleaning the registry, I reinstalled Trados 2007 and Multiterm 2009 several times, without any success. Java runtime env. 6 update 14, MSXML 4.0 SP2 Parser and SDK, Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 redist. Sp1 and Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 redist. Sp1 were also removed and reinstalled. I used the program 'RepairSDLMultiTermDesktop2009SP3' published by Richard Pushmann at SDL and it returned the following error report:

Hello everyone..

I was never able to use MT since I bought it. Always saying that it is not compatible with the version when I tried to open a TB. Searching for help I found out that Side by side tools are not installed properly. I've searched and download about 4 patches only today and yet nothing.


While trying to use Side by side from its folder to activate SDLS MT 2009 it went all well till the last two process.
