I got a project which has files with the above file-name endings. The CSVs can be opened in Excel and contain text in a table. I can copy the content to Word and translate, but is there a more straightforward way?
Each cell starts with and ends with .

Trados 2007 WB will not analyse the csv-files, but the customer has sent me a Trados export file of the TM. So I guess someone has translated such files with Trados before.

I haven't tried Studio yet.

Regards
Heinrich

Yes, csv is included in Studio's file types:

The file type is not supported Dec 18, 2010

When I try to load one of these csv-files into Studio the above message is displayed. So this is an Excel format, not a normal comma delimited text file.

What does the "Properties" window say about these files?

CVS --> XLS Dec 19, 2010

Try save file with Excel's xls or xlsx format. If this fails to analyze, the cause can be from your opening and ending "." mark (in old word processors, I met with this trouble many times.) Temporarily replace "." with another letter (not "*") and complete translation/conversion. SDL says strongly that they support CSV, OTS and SKLl files.
